Double Jay Construction was honored to help facilitate that vision—coordinating closely with City leaders, designers, inspectors, and suppliers to turn a thoughtful plan into a welcoming, resilient park for everyone.
A City-Led Vision for a Community Landmark
From early planning through final punch lists, the City prioritized:
Accessibility and inclusion so every visitor—on foot, with strollers, or using mobility devices—can move comfortably across the site.
Safer, clearer connections between destinations to make the park intuitive and enjoyable.
Sustainable stewardship that manages stormwater, protects natural areas, and reduces maintenance demands.
Durable details that stand up to Ohio seasons and heavy daily use.
Our role was to honor that intent at every step—sequencing work to minimize disruption, solving field conditions quickly, and building with materials and methods that support the City’s long horizon.
From Vision to Reality: What Changed
Access & Arrival
Reconfigured drives and parking to improve traffic flow and ADA-compliant routes from car door to trailhead.
Refined grades and sightlines for safer, more comfortable movement throughout the park.
Trails & Connectivity
Rebuilt and resurfaced key paths with ADA-friendly slopes and cross-slopes.
Strengthened sub-bases and edges for longevity, then stitched paths into intuitive loops that fit quick walks or longer outings.
Gathering & Play
Refreshed gathering zones with durable hardscape, seating, and shade to support family time, meetups, and community events.
Multiple sport courts and frisbee golf course for engaging activities

Safety, Lighting & Wayfinding
Targeted lighting upgrades to enhance evening visibility.
Clearer signage and wayfinding to help visitors navigate effortlessly between features.

Guided by the City’s priorities, our crews focused on the long game—quality workmanship that delivers day-one enjoyment and decade-long performance.
